Quitty
A free menu bar utility for macOS. Check which apps to protect across two profiles. Hit Close All and quit everything else gracefully.
See every running app with a visible window. Check the ones you want to keep. Unchecked apps close when you press Close All.
Create as many profiles as you like, each with its own protected apps. Switch between them to close different apps for different tasks.
Set a keyboard shortcut in Settings to trigger Close All instantly from anywhere on your Mac.
Quitty quits other applications, which the App Store sandbox does not allow. Direct distribution is the only way this app can exist.
No. Finder, the Dock, and Quitty itself are always protected and will never be closed.
Since Quitty is distributed outside the App Store, macOS shows this warning. Right-click the app and select Open, then click Open in the dialog. This is a one-time step. You can also run this in Terminal: xattr -cr /Applications/Quitty.app
